Summer in Europe
In order to pack a few weeks worth of clothes into a small carryon, I was able to narrow down my shoes into three must haves styles. White sneakers, walking sandals, and heeled sandals. Below are my favorite shoes from each category.
I brought my Soludo’s Roma sneaker for every day wear, my target sandals, and my Matisse heels.
Best Travel Shoes:
White Sneaker
During this past Summer in Europe, we found ourselves walking an average of 15,000 steps a day! I wore my Soludos Roma’s most days and they went with everything. As my bulkiest shoe, I wore them on all travel days as I was only using a carry on suitcase. These are definitely the best travel shoes. The Veja’s are similar comfort level and the On’s are lighter-weight and a bit comfier.
Walking Sandal
On warmer days or if we were heading for the beach, I opted for a comfy neutral colored sandal. I got mine at Target and while they didn’t have any support, they were comfortable enough to wear all day. They are super lightweight and easy to pack. If you are looking for more support or cushion, I would go with the Olukai’s.
Heeled Sandal
I loved having comfortable heeled sandal for nicer dinners or going out for an Aperol Spritz. The Matisse ones go with everything and I didn’t have a problem wearing them on cobblestone streets for hours at a time. The heel is not too high and they are very easy to walk in.
