I was gifted a week of Sakara Life meals and had such a great experience. Sometimes it is hard to find time to make 3 healthy meals a day and I find myself running out the door without breakfast or skipping lunch. When I am hungry I reach for the first and easiest option and it is not always healthy, resulting in stomach aches due to my food allergies and intolerances. Having three pre-made meals a day took the guesswork out of what I was going to eat and saved so much time.

Sakara Life Day 1
Breakfast

Superfood Breakfast Cookie
flax + wildflower honey + mulberries + cacao nibs + chrysanthemum cranberry jam
This superfood breakfast cookie was so good and very filling. It had a wide array of healthy ingredients and gives a little run down on the package highlighting the benefits of the meal. The chrysanthemum jam was so tasty and over all the cookie was lightly sweet without tasting too much like a dessert.
Lunch

Sweet Beet + Toasted Cashew Medley
with annatto powder-dusted white quinoa + carrot-ginger glow dressing
The carrot-ginger dressing was amazing loved reading the ingredients and benefits. All of the salads from Sakara Life that I have tried contain such a fun array of toppings that I hadn’t thought to include on a salad. The flavors were balanced perfectly and it was filling without making me feel bloated after.
Dinner

Healing Celery Root Soup
with Truffle Herb Swirls
This was my favorite meal out of everything. The soup was amazing and like nothing I have ever tried before. I was hesitant to eat the truffle herb swirls at first because I couldn’t believe they were actually gluten free (they are). Overall I loved this meal and it was the perfect early fall dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast

Banana Nut Brain-Food Granola
almond + pecan pieces, pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, banana chips
This was my least favorite meal of the week. It was still good, but tasted bland in comparison to the other breakfasts. I thought the included milk was a little too thick so I was not a fan of the consistency. Check out easy breakfast ideas here.
Lunch

H2O Glow Salad
white beans, celery, cucumber, fresh herb dressing
I loved this salad! It tasted so fresh and hydrating. I love the size of each meal from Sakara Life. It always ended up being the perfect amount of food with not too much waste left over.
Dinner

Ethiopian Plate with Injera Bread and Awaze Sauce
turmeric lentils, spiced eggplant, spreadable garlic
This meal was tied for first place. I have never had Injera bread and was surprised how flavorful and moist it was. I was hesitant about the entire clove of garlic at first but it didn’t taste overpowering and was a nice addition to the dish. The eggplant pieces in this meal were my favorite part and it was so easy to heat up.
Day 3
Breakfast

Pink Poppy Seed Muffin
with a fresh coconut + berry jam
This tasted so good heated up! I was already at work so didn’t follow the heating directions and just put it in the microwave. It worked perfectly and made it so moist. The coconut berry jam was the highlight.
Lunch

Youth + Beauty Salad with Lemon-Honey Dressing
topped with pomegranate, hydrating vegetables, seed mix, and superfood dressing
All of the veggies in this salad tasted so fresh and I never had an issue with wilted lettuce in any of the salads from Sakara Life. The pomegranate seeds were a nice touch and it was a very pretty salad.
Dinner

Golden Pineapple Un-Fried Rice
with sweet and sour tempeh + spicy cauliflower
This was really good but tasted a bit bland compared to the other two dinners. The pineapple was a nice touch.
