Almond Milk Recipe | Easy 5 Minute Nut Milk

The 8-in-1 Always Pan 728x90

I have been loving this almond milk recipe and make a fresh batch weekly. I think store bought almond milk tastes like playdough and was considering buying the Almond Cow, but this recipe is just as easy and so cheap, I am glad I waited. This article may contain affiliate links.

Soaking the almonds overnight is not a necessary step, but I think it makes the milk a lot creamier. I highly recommend the Vitamix blender but other less high-powered blender’s should do the trick. I have used a Nutri Bullet in the past and didn’t have an issue.

Instead of using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth, I like to use my produce bags. Mesh laundry bags work as well. I got my reusable produce bags on amazon and they come in a lot of different sizes and come in handy for grocery shopping as an alternative for single use plastic produce bags.

Store the almond milk in an air tight glass container in the fridge for up to a week. I purchased a quart of chocolate milk from Sprouts that came in a glass container and have been using that.

I make my latte with the almond milk and it lasts me a full week. It foams up perfectly with my milk steamer wand. I prefer this method over using the Nespresso frother.

To sweeten the almond milk, I add a tiny bit of agave nectar in with the milk before I steam it. I leave the container unsweetened for when I make my chia pudding.
